Golf and the Future

Most of my life up until 2009 consisted of day in and day out golf. Now 4 years later I have gotten married to my lovely wife, Samantha. We have lived overseas and now about to graduate college. For the last year we have thought a lot about what life in golf would be like and what it would take. That being said, I have the exciting opportunity to be playing golf once again starting this summer. I have been practicing and getting back into the groove of full time golf, but it has been hard with school and work. I am currently working as a Computer Technician and I have to say it's great. This plan of playing golf, of course, is nothing without hard work and a plan.

I plan on practicing daily upon graduation and tune my golf game as much as possible. There is a Web.com tournament here in Raleigh the 3rd week of June, which I will try and qualify for. Now, the Web.com tour is one step under the PGA Tour, so this is no small tournament. This in itself is not an easy task, there will be a one day Monday qualifier which will cost $450 just for the chance to qualify for the actual tournament. This is a great and exciting opportunity for myself and Samantha. This chance to play and the chance to play in other tournaments comes at an expense. If not for this being in our city, the tournament would come with more expenses: gas, hotel, food, etc. I am currently looking for sponsors in order to fulfill these needs. Whether you own a company or work for one or want to give on your own to help fund our journey, we will be forever grateful. Along with funding, one of the things sponsors do is advertise their company or name on clothing, bags, etc. If you or your company feel like this is something you would rather do, please do! If there is anyway for me to advertise your business or anything else I am more than willing. I will add a link to our Paypal account for donations if you feel like you would be willing to do so or if you would like our address to send clothing or donations email me at --mhatchett291@gmail.com--.

First things first is this tournament in June. I am practicing and will be practicing as hard as I can to play my best. This is the first step in our journey and this will be our focus until this time comes. Before any of these other steps can happen (more tournaments and travel) I will see how my game stands up to the rest.

If you have any questions or concerns please email or contact me. I would love for those who are willing to be a part of this journey we are undertaking. Thank you in advance for all of your support and help. Follow this blog to keep up with updates from this process! Please share this with everyone you know, we will need all the support we can get!
